Dr. Frederick Shen is Senior Vice President and Head of Business Management for Global Treasury, OCBC Bank, leading to strengthen the infrastructure, processes, monitoring and analytics to tackle the increasing regulatory and risk requirements, all the while enabling the Treasury business for strategic growth in countries we currently operate in and for the future. Fred re-joined OCBC in mid-2013 from Emirates NBD, Dubai, where he headed up the Group Market Risk unit. Prior to the Middle East assignment, he was with OCBC Bank Market Risk for 3+ years, and appointed Head of Market Risk in 2011.

Fred started his career as a Professor of Finance at the University of Waterloo, Canada, before joining the financial industry, starting with global risk oversight of the financial engineering trading group at RBC Capital Markets. With over 25 years in the financial industry, his extensive experience includes assignments with various financial institutions and specialisations, including structured credit and real-asset securitizations at a privately held fund, head of bank-wide economic/risk capital and risk modeling/analytics at Bank of Montreal, and head of life insurance and asset management risk management at Manulife. He has over 20 years of experience in banking primarily in Risk & Portfolio Management roles. After completing his banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Germany in 1996, he started as a Relationship Manager in SME Banking before switching to a role as Credit Officer in Austria. Having transferred to London in 2002, Jens was involved in various global projects ranging from risk policies to automated sanctioning systems. In 2004, he relocated to New York to assume a position as Senior Credit Analyst covering a portfolio of Corporates and FIs in Latin America. After returning to London in 2006 to help establishing a new credit portfolio management function, Jens ultimately became Regional Head of Portfolio Management Europe, where he was responsible for credit portfolio strategy and risk appetite adherence across all asset classes.
Having subsequently worked at Royal Bank of Scotland as Senior Credit Underwriter covering Risk Solutions & Structured Derivatives CEEMEA, Jens re-joined Deutsche Bank in 2012 as Head of Risk & Portfolio Management, Transaction Banking for Asia Pacific, and relocated to Singapore.

Benjamin Wong

Benjamin Wong joined DBS Bank in July 2017 as Managing Director, Head of ECL Accounting & Analytics in Group Finance, responsible for group wide implementation of IFRS9.  Benjamin moved to his current role at the Risk Management Group in Oct 2018, with global responsibility for Wholesale & Retail credit risk analytics, climate change risk modelling and stress testing.  Benjamin has over 25 years of international experience in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Toronto in the areas of credit risk management, credit & market risk analytic modelling, climate change risk and stress testing.

Prior to his positions at DBS Bank, he was the Global Head of Wholesale Risk Analytics in HSBC London responsible for leading the end-to-end development, implementation and management of global analytics and modelling systems for Wholesale Credit risk used for risk management, pricing, stress testing, IFRS9 provisioning, economic capital and regulatory RWA reporting.  Prior to this role he was the Asia Pacific Regional Head of Global Risk Analytics in HSBC Hong Kong.  He has held similar roles before in credit risk analytics in Singapore and Toronto, though he started his banking career as management associate in credit risk management in Citibank Hong Kong.

Benjamin holds Master’s degrees in Financial Engineering and Business Administration, and the designations of Sustainability & Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate, CFA, FRM, CPA and CGA.

Thomas is currently the Head of Group Technology Information & Cyber Risk (TICR) for the OCBC Group, where he chairs the bank's Group Technology Risk Management Committee, and is responsible for driving group-wide risk governance, risk monitoring, assessment and mitigation initiatives relating to technology, information and cyber risk.
Prior to his current role, he has served in regional and global leadership positions across Technology Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, and Information Technology Management in DBS Group, Credit Suisse AG, UOB Group and Citibank.
Thomas contributes actively to the development of the industry by participating in various committees and working groups.  These include being the vice chair of ABS Standing Committee on Cyber Security (SCCS), and chair of ABS Working Group on Revision of MAS Tech Risk Management Guidelines (PEGASUS).  Previously, he has also served as organising committee chairperson of the ABS-MAS Financial Industry Crisis Communications Exercise (FICCE) 2016, organising committee member of the ABS-MAS Industry-wide Exercise (IWE) Raffles IV 2014, and member of ABS Business Resilience and Continuity Committee (BRC).

I have a passion for integrating sustainability into the investment process to achieve necessary and impactful environmental, societal and financial outcomes.

My shift to Sustainability accelerated in recent years, including designing and developing research approaches and shaping corporate strategy. My prior role was as the first Head of Sustainability at Maybank Kim Eng and member of the parent Maybank’s first Group Sustainability Council.

My investment approach is to incorporate both macro and micro factors with emphasis on data and rigorous process. I have built and managed ranked sell-side research teams across multiple countries.

This buy- and sell-side investment experience, across all asset classes and geographies, has provided a unique foundation for my current role. In the past, I have been Merrill Lynch’s Global Sector Strategist, the Global investment strategist at NewSmith’s macro hedge fund and also completed a consulting project on sub-Saharan Africa for Standard Bank.

Victor has primary responsibility for deal analysis, portfolio management of a book of credit exposure globally from LATAM to APAC, with secondary responsibility for deal sourcing and business development for the Asia Pacific. His focus encompasses both single credit and significant risk transfers.

His area of focus is in the structured/complex finance domain such as project finance, structured credit, leveraged finance, aviation financing and structured trade finance; and also in vanilla financing to corporates and financial institutions

Prior to AXIS, Victor has undertaken roles in public markets fixed income investments, origination and client coverage, and Infrastructure financing and advisory with Standard Chartered Bank in London, Singapore and Hong Kong

Victor, currently serves as Board Member of CFA Singapore and also Co-Chair, Professional Development Committee of CFA Singapore. Victor also serves as Singapore country representative of CFA Institute Asia Pacific Research Exchange ('ARX').

Victor has spoken at various events organised by organisations such as World Bank, International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers ("IACPM"), ASEAN Energy Centre("AEC") and International Project Finance Association ("IPFA") and at conferences such as EXCRED series.
